Of course. You just made it convenient for me.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

You're using your spider sim as an "observation", are you not? I'll let go when you do. It's not my fault that you didn't have any understanding -whatsoever- of that which you pointed to as support of your assertion. It's not my problem now that you refuse to accept the consequences of a statement you made in ignorance, while simultaneously refusing to cease with the very same.

What is happening in the spider sim satisfies my definition of evolution. I would certainly call it an evolutionary system. The fact that it utilizes procedural gens is irrelevant. Cars use atoms and because they use atoms doesn't mean they are not the products of intellect. You said yourself that the spider sim was implemented by an intellect. I am beginning to think you do not understand what evolution is.

Then rivers also satisfy. Again, your ignorance is not my problem. Here's a hint, the implementation is the machine that it runs on - which isn't a requirement for the procedural gen any more than intellect is -again by definition...and as evidenced by the fact that a procedural gen can be implemented by any number of systems with completely dissimilar architecture. Your spider sim is a procedural gen implemented by boolean logic on a digital machine. It can be implementd just the same by water falling through the leaves of trees...even though the output would be unrecognizeable to you. The spider that you see is a floating variable with artwork attached. If I took away the artwork you wouldn't see a damned thing...but the gen would still be there, still running all the same.

-as has already been explained.

How so? In a very recent post I stated what the key elements of evolution are. How does a river system have those key elements? Go through each element and show that it applies to river systems. If we are to actually have a discussion, you have to make some points and not just claim I am wrong or ignorant.

Gravity is as much a part of evolution as anything else.

You do not need gravity to have evolution. Maybe it is a requirement for biological evolution(I think not because on microscopic scales gravity isn't a force of substance).

A river system operates the same way that a procedural gen does, to achieve an equivalent effect, which you've decided is an example of an evolutionary system. Since I've already explained how a procedural gen works...multiple times...you can just go back and re-read the thread. I'm not going to jump through the hoops of your dishonesty -again-...just to satisfy you. You've been invited to make your argument in a way that would absolutely preclude this sort of asshatery many times..so far you don't seem to have been interested in doing so. You are owed nothing which you have not already been presented with, which is a fair deal greater than your claims or your behavior in asserting them deserved in the first place.

If I danced to your tune, you would simply re-assert ad naus, as you have done. You asked for a single example of an evolutionary system that does not require intellect. You have it. Procedural gens (and you're sticking with this one) do not require intellect. That is not an argument, that is not a claim...it is a statement of definition. The lack of such a requirement is the -defining characteristic- of a procedural generation. No more can be or need be said on the matter. It's up to you whether you want to show the slightest hint of integrity.

Even if you somehow manage to prove some outside intelligence in evolution, which isn't going to happen but still, it could just be aliens. God isn't even on the menu. It's a ludicrous joker card that represents anything and explains nothing.
