If I die I'll be sure to leave my belongings to some of you. The sword of Gondor needs to go to someone I trust

I have to say, I have never got the idea of feminism. I want things to be as fair as possible for everyone, and anyone who doesn't is a buttbunch. So I guess I'm an anti-buttmunch.
I'm aware women generally have it worse at the moment, and that is a problem. But I find it strange to have a label that means you want to sort this out... like, who doesn't? Butt munches I suppose.
I dunno. It seems like an area where labels are weird. If someone asks me if I'm a feminist, what are they really asking?

Hey rob you make a good point, being polite and respectful to people needs a special word and that's problematic... There's still many people who don't adhere to ideas of equality. My girlfriend has a teacher in university that is an outspoken patriarch (he thinks women shouldn't vote and belong in the kitchen, literally)
In my experience when people ask if you are a feminist it means if you support equal rights for women, including suffrage, job/workplace equality and appropriate reproductive rights, etc. It's usually a way to ask if you have sensitivity to women's issues (in the west too) like domestic violence or if you are against gender roles.

Yeah. It's bizarre you even need a word for it! My answer would be, "of course!" It's like asking me if I support not smashing people's car windows for no reason.
I would hope anyone who knew me even slightly would find it obvious enough to not have to ask such a question. But it is sad there are people like the one you describe who actually like things being unfair. What a dick.
I guess it's no more weird than needing a word to describe the fact that you don't believe in magic fairy tales.
