Madison, Wi now a safe haven for atheists!

This makes Madison (the city I currently reside in) the ONLY CITY IN THE ENTIRE NATION that has writing specifically protecting atheists from all forms of discrimination.

Hey that is awesome! Great job Madison  I salute you.
It's really sad that something so obviously fair and necessary has to be explicitly mentioned, but that's the world we live and so good on them for stepping up.

I'm happy for the US... finally coming around into the 20th century!
Here's an excerpt from Portugal's constitution, written down way back in 1974 (after our last dictatorship):

Article 13
(Principle of equality)

2. No one shall be privileged, favoured, prejudiced, deprived of any right or exempted from any duty on the basis of ancestry, sex, race, language, place of origin, religion, political or ideological beliefs, education, economic situation, social circumstances or sexual orientation.
