It's hilarious, because once you stop (or never started) believing in this horrific creature, the whole of religion is less scary than a wasp.

The only scary bit is the real part of the religion, the followers. I'm more scared of one maniac with a hatchet than I am of God all pissing butt crunch mighty.

Remind me again why an omni God needs maniacs with hatchets to back him up? That would concern me, if I was one of the maniacs. I'd think my boss was a first rate coward.

What is a weak argument?

God is not an elected politician. You cannot remove him from his position. You cannot have him impeached. You cannot change his laws. He does not need your permission to rule over you. He uses threats to keep you in line. At best he favors those who kiss his ass, but even then he still can do what he wants with you and still does not need your permission.. It is well documented in all three of those books what he does to dissent or sanctions his followers to do on his behalf. God is the very definition of a dictator.
