I'm...cautiously optimistic for my imminent upgrade. The interface looks sexy as hell from the previews I've seen, and a good fusion of what I liked about 7 and 8.1. The only thing making me slightly hesitant are the inevitable bugs that come in an early release. Still, as long as it doesn't upload my vast and depraved collection of jewish midget donkey cheesegrater clown porn to my Facebook and message it to all my friends wipe all my stuff I'm sure it'll be fine...

Staying with W7 for now and beginning a transition to Linux.

First upgrade went fine. 8.1 Home to 10 Home (64 bit). Gonna do a fresh install on another machine next.

Same here on an 7 pro 64 bit to 10 upgrade. Took about 20 seconds to boot up on this 3 year old laptop with an ssd. I like the new mail app and the built in browser seems ok so far.

Yeah the fresh install has to wait, hardware problem. I'll try again tomorrow or the next day - but I can confirm that you definitely can do a fresh install, can't verify yet if you can activate with a 7 key.

I've been offered a free upgrade from windows 7 to 10.
I don't know much about 10, but I'm reluctant to take it at the moment. I'm very happy with 7.
If I had windows 8, I'd upgrade to anything.
