Hey vic, thanks for creating the thread. Running out of time to respond, but as promised I will respond to this when I have some time as it's not a quick post. Just wanted to reply so it stays in "My Posts" for quick reference when I make my reply.

The Dr Sues answer is that is pretty and good.
The reality is that it is all made up and humans simply fish for excuses to cling to old myth. It can't be wrong or bad if they like it.

The real truth is that everyone's god IS a personal god.
But that still doesn't cut it, no matter how good it makes you as a person for one simple reason.
Personal gods don't have the power to grant you everlasting life.
This salespitch is the only reason, whether conscious or subconscious, why people are religious.
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

I'm still waiting for the answer to how come God can agree with everyone individually, while they disagree with each other. No one wants to bite on that either. "Everyone except me is wrong" isn't going to cut it.

And share your experiences with god. And the apologetics challenge ._.
How come they're so vocal UNTIL someone asks?

And the "tell me what 4 digits I'm thinking of". As soon as we step into the realm of the real world God is apparently no use to anyone.

In my "what would you change about your morality if God ordered it" thread I got two votes and no comments. I'd be seriously worried if my belief system left me unable to answer simple questions. Of course, my answer is often, "I don't know". But it's not, "I can't even answer".
