christian looking to understand athiests

So... 07:25 claims he won't attempt to argue, or convert anyone 14:51 starts giving "reasons to believe"
For the record I don't believe because those who argue in favour are invariably found to lie. see above.

Answered prayers?

Like, found your car keys while thousands of starving African children die every single day!
And you WANT to worship something with those priorities for us?

In that case you are not only deluded, but deranged also ...sorry.
No God, No fear.

Now I wonder. Was the security like "Excuse me Sir, if I may - did you know that it's not just for stirring coffee?", or is that merely your interpretation of "get off the premises now or I'll fuck you up"  ^^

Wish someone had warned me to empty my bladder before coming here this morning. Laughter may be the best medicine, but not when you're full.

Stirring his coffee with...well, banana flavored coffee is actually quite tasty.

The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

There really isn't any other way this can go.

i am not here to convert anyone im just here to discuss the differences between the two views. i wont preach at anyone im just awnsering questions that are being asked. if you think im a self-righteous smug then i suggest you completely forget about this thread because it has no meaning to you

So, now you are telling me how I should react to you?  Sorry, doesn't work that way.  Your self-righteousness is already on display, and I think I just caught a whiff of smug.

The difference between the two views is simple.  You believe in a god, atheists don't.  Most of the people here know more about your religion than you do.  Some are ex-christians, some even ex-christian fundamentalists.  There are things you might learn here, but each would be a direct threat to your faith.  But I'll offer this, you ask the questions, someone here will answer, which is how you can learn.  But, again, I suspect learning is not your intention.

thank you for the discussions and i will be praying for all of you Heart

Thank you for your prayers.  For my part I will meditate on the fact that you were born into the kool ade factory and hope you find your way to a better theology.  It isn't your fault but if you don't do it, it won't get done.  Or maybe you should try praying for the truth.

Waffle rofl.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Free will is love! Free will is life!

Free will vs divine won't.

Or more accurately, can't.
