Greetings, from a believer
August 25, 2015 at 1:21 am
Don't know the rules here, so I'll keep my language clean.
My name is Divinity, and I'm 40 something years old, and I'm a believer in god, but not a believer in religion. I think all those religious texts are full of nonsense. I wouldn't so much say I defy labels, as I just have no freaking clue what label fits me. I believe in the divinity of Jesus, but I don't believe that everything written about him that he supposedly said was actually said by him. I have five grown children who are all atheists. I don't believe any of the ridiculous things some believers think about atheists (There's good atheists, and bad atheists, etc..) Most Christian communities are like talking to... sheep. All I hear is bah bah bah. So I decided to to join an Atheist community. I'm not here to convert people. I don't believe that non-belief in god is something that sends you to hell. I admit that such an idea is pretty stupid, and very much reminiscent of a con artists ploy to religion (and part of why I don't believe in religion)

Hello.
You sound more interesting that the average believer - who frankly are not interesting at all - that shows up here.

Given your intro post, it doesn't seem too incredible to suspect that your five atheist children might very soon claim an atheist mother.

Welcome divinity! The waffles will be here any time now
And yes, you sound way, way more interesting than the average believer. Can't wait to see you around!

Hello Divinity!
Welcome, I am liking the fact that you are pretty much a free thinker. There are quite a few here who still can't shake off the feeling of a hidden sky daddy, but have broken free from the chains of religion. So you should be able to feel right at home here.

Welcome!
