I let my beard grow until I start blending in a little too well with the homeless community downtown. Then I mow it with a (Norelco?) trimmer. The times I want to get rid of all the stubble, I use a multiblade disposable. I own a straight razor but it scares the holy fuck out of me.

Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you

You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

I just eagerly rub my cheek against a homeless person until they offer a blade. In my college town there's plenty of data points!

What's so scary about straight razors?

Aurora, you'd despair to know how common that is where I live~ But none of them are as sexy as Johnny Depp.

Not a goddamn thing wrong with them, I just don't want one anywhere near my carotid artery.

Porn star 'stache for me. (can't be much of a surprise for the rest of you) Also, keep it rather ragged, the ones I see that look like they are maintained with a precision jig and high speed router look too fussy.
Had a beard 35 years ago, the color was amazing, I have plain brown hair on my head, but the beard grew out this impressive reddish brown color. Don't shave everyday, but up around a week or so, the gray really looks depressing in view of the great color I once had. While I like the look of sideburns (damn, I'm so 70s) and sideburns that connect to a handlebar mustache are even better, it is pretty rare to see such things these days. I'm liking mustache/goatees more if not cut really short (what is up with that?) but a goatee (or beard) and no mustache is just so Abner Amish looking I can't keep from laughing. Ahem, ATTENTION teenager at Walmart tonite with the pubic hair beard; GIVE UP! I'VE GOT MORE HAIR ON MY BALLS AND IT LOOKS BETTER THERE THAN IT DOES ON YOUR FACE. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
I haven't been 'clean' shaven in around 10 years. I use an electric trimmer + scissors to keep my beard at varying lengths depending on the time of year.
