Reviving my old thread, I see lol.
Hey, now I can post this:
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Lol, I dunno. I usually don't use profanity unless I'm really upset. Though I do regret not putting deuce on there.

What's the point of not using profanity?

Just not really my thing I guess. Not that I never do, I just normally don't toss it around when I talk.

I tend to refer to it as poo, mostly because of my kid going through potty training some years ago, I suppose.
My husband despises potty talk, though, and we only use poo when discussing our kid's bathroom habits. If I did use a more adult word, I think I like "shite" also. With the Irish accent. But when discussing myself, I tend to leave the actual word out (for my husband's sake) and just say, "I need to go". For a man, he is extremely squeamish about poop, pee, snot and tears.
The only term I really don't like is "pinching a loaf". I don't want someones shit to sound like a meal about to be served, lol.

I never really understood why "shit" is considered profane and "poop" is not.

Yeah man, she ain't a monkey tossing her shit around like the rest of us, she's an elegant lady.
But that makes me wonder,if you knew you were in the monkey cage, shouldn't you have tossed shit (hah!) up on the poll.

Cato beat me to my fav, Turtling. (only because my wife hates it)
The other has evolved over the years. Started out as Shit, then Harry Shit, then Harry S. Truman, finally resting with Dead President. (my wife tolerates this in public/with company)
