A person who needs help.....

A person who needs help.....
I've briefly mingled with atheism few years back but ended up going  back to xitianity.  I realize it was a mistake as back then I did really good, read few books and was well on my way to mental freedom. I can't afford therapy. Yes, that's how tormented I currently am. I thought I'd ask one of the atheists forum for encouragement and guidance.

I have no problem embracing atheism, except that I saw somebody I think is Christ and more  than once few years back. I don't have any visions or hallucinations. He is the only one I have ever seen while awake. I never heard or seen things that were not there before this creep came along.

I just wish to move on with my life. If there is a god, he can go [blank] himself. I am just exhausted of all this garbage.

Please help me in any way you can.

Sincerely,

Provided you live in the US, there is free and confidential help available for mental health care to those who will actually take it. Unfortunately, most mental health professionals encourage religion.

OR did you just see some hippie or bum around town who looked a bit like Jesus? Theres a lot of them out there.

Can you describe those visions in more detail, and tell us why you thought it was Christ?  And why you describe him as a creep?

Welcome!

Please enlighten us.

Hello, welcome to the forum Smile

I'm glad to try and help however I can.

For one thing, no one knows what Jesus looks like (if he existed at all; I can show you videos that bring that into serious doubt if it might help). His image has just been made up and popularised. So there's no way he could "look like Christ", it's your mind playing tricks with the mythological art.
Feel free to send me a private message.

The medical establishment in this country is all about medicating people to death. I'd rather use cognitive therapy. And to answer your question, I'd say no. I am not on drugs and I have not seen a hippie whom I took for Jesus. This kind of reply is what causes many troubled theists or potential atheists to run right back to xtian temples. And where does that leave all  of us? Please try to give me an mature response or simply ignore this thread. Thank you.

I like your name Wink  !
It's going to take couple of paragraphs to lay that down in details, but I can quickly say one time, I saw a pair of oversized  beautiful light-eyes across the sky who just gazed at me with such peace and serenity. At the time I was really angry and xtremely distraught. I was for some reason prompted to look up and there they were. It was around approximately 9 am as I was walking down a street.

A second or actually first time, I was in my place and as I was thinking about  Him because I had a wild spectacular recovery from a temporary spine paralysis, I was wondering how he did that. And suddenly what appears to be a holograph of a Man stood about 2 feet above my head and a vibrating heart was next to him. I later tried to revisit the vision of the heart but I could not and realized it was the "understanding" of a vibrating heart. He mentally told me that he was happy about my happiness about my amazing recovery. And also the heart seemed to communicate that it was vibrating out of joy for my coming back to him. And this is what caused me to go back to xitianity.

I swear to you I am not here to show off. Lots of people start to accuse me of this and that. I am extremely practical person. I like when I can on my own add 2 to 2 and conclude that the result is a Radical  unmistakable 4.

I am not much of person currently. He is a creep because he won't leave me alone. The more I try to expel him out of my head and the harder he clungs to it. One time I had a visual of a man holding on to the frame of a door as he was being pushed out.  This is unsane. I never picked this. I was born muslim, and came to Christ in 2001 because of some other happening. I just want to drop him off and move on. As simply as this. Yet I can't seem to be able to do it.

I am not here to convert anyone if that's what you mean by maybe sarcastically saying "enlighten us". Confused Fall

Then who was it that I saw? it was not mo or anyone that I know of.

And this is beyond the point. I just want to get out of the prison. That's all I am interested in right now. I don't belive in hell I don't want heaven I just want to live my little pathetic life as best as I can and without him or any other claimant to the throne. This is my goal. And thanks for the resource page. I have not visited it yet but I plan to.

Not sarcasm, just wanted more of your story. However I am quite a sarcastic SOB so I can understand the confusion.

Shit, never good at first impressions.

Since the earliest representations of the godboy in xtian art show a clean-shaven, toga-wearing, philosopher type (Doura Europus, 3'd century) and there is nothing resembling any physical description in the so-called "scriptures" why would you think someone was "jesus?"

I am sorry you read it that way. This has nothing to do with the impression you made. There is nothing wrong with sarcasm even if that's what you intended and that is not the case. so,...  all is cool... Tongue

Hi Minimalist,
thank you so much for reaching out.
In both cases. I was mentally engaged in verbal talk with him. So in other words I was summoning him. unbeknownst to me of course that something was about to take place right then and there. And I have no other reference I could blame this on. For the sky visual, I was extremely angry as at the time, my life fell apart and I blamed it on him so I was mentally machine gunning him with all the hate I could find in me. As I saw those Eyes, my jaw dropped and all I could say while looking at them is "I love you, I love you, I love you..."  because they were exquisitely beautiful. The emotional fire that was consuming me was put out in a nano second and An amazing Peace came upon me, I calmed down like a  happy toddler.

So do you think I projected that stuff out of my mind? This is an honest question. I tried to look up Doura and all I got is archeological sites. Who is he?
