Hmmm... Working at VS or mentioning big phalic things? Haha I'm pretty sure it was me. Sorry Jenny
Edit: It changed "mentioning" to "me ruining" haha
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Whoops, probably my fault. Sorry.
You are just fine. But we are walking the line here.

I think many Christians pretend that they're prudish and uptight, but I know that it's all an act. The more involved they are in admonishing other's sexual habits, the bigger the freak.
I'm not talking about someone such as yourself, Kingpin. You know what kind of person I'm talking about, though. We all do. The loudmouth type incessantly carrying on about sexual sin as they wipe away their drool. Does anyone honestly believe they're NOT the biggest consumers of online porn?

Would you have measured me? She wouldn't do it. I really tried. The other lady working thought it was hilarious. I like to do things to see how people will react.
Like going through the drive thru and purposely half saying words or cut in and out so they think their speaker is broken, order strange combinations of items at grocery stores (cowboy hat, jumper cables, motor oil, condoms and latex gloves), wave to people in the car next to me like I know them (really freaks some people out).

Yeah, to be a part of a sect that looks down on certain types of sex and looking for it elsewhere is one thing, but being the loudest opponent and seeking it out is another.

I know exactly what you mean. The bigger they are against it publicly, the more likely they are obsessed privately. Lends credence to the stats Pyrrho posted earlier.

They are, but they are also often trying to control themselves. Many idiots passing anti-sex laws are trying to prevent themselves from doing what they'd probably be healthier if they just did.

I absolutely would have measured you.
Hahaha, that's great! I can't do those things, unfortunately, because I start laughing too hard. I used to love getting together with friends and prank calling a bunch of people back when I was a kid but I was the one who would listen in because I couldn't speak without laughing.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

(October 5, 2015 at 8:41 pm)lkingpinl Wrote: Porn to me is just not appealing. Watching other people do it does not get me in the mood. Sex is about being personal and intimate with one person and one person that you care deeply about. A person that knows the real you. That you can be who you are around, who lifts you up, cares for you, will do anything for you. I may be a hopeless romantic and extremely sappy, but sex is about love. Like I said I know it can be enjoyed from a physical aspect, but there is more to it than that, at least for me. So while porn can certainly provide a fulfillment for the base urges, I think it falls desperately short on the overall experience.
Everyone has their own opinions on it and I'm sure you all know me by now that I have no problem with that, but I wanted to start this thread and give my personal Christian perspective on the topic.
I think you are conflating porn and sex, when in reality they are very different. Porn is not a replacement for actual sex, nor should it be, but rather it's a form of entertainment. The goal of watching porn is more often than not, self pleasure, whereas the goal of sex is about pleasuring your partner (and being pleasured in return).
I know you say that watching other people doesn't get you in the mood, but in the call you also said that you'd never watched porn before, so I find this doubtful. There's an instinctual level that comes into play when watching sex, and I think if you watched the more artful kinds of porn (rather than anything "hardcore") you'd find yourself being turned on by it.
Quick question as a follow up: have you ever looked through a series of nude photographs (of just women)? If so, did you get turned on by those?
