Well, you should know gas trimmers don't generate a lot of torque from zero RPM, so it could easily get stopped and bind up in the necrotic zombie flesh, for real cutting power make sure you use a lithium-ion powered electric trimmer, electric motors can generate full torque from a dead stop so the electric will be far less likely to bind up in an awkward, possibly MTV movie award winning, moment.

you cant just shoot the zombies in the head, you have to get them in the neck or behind the ear to sever the brain stem or they just keep coming.

I think a head shot would work if you use a large enough caliber.

So, you cut their head off. What if the head keeps coming? Crawling with it's tongue like a clam? And the tongue morphs into a giraffe tongue? What if the Black Night in Python is real? There could be heads all over just waiting to bite my legs off.

I’ll do you one better, if their cells are incapable of dying then the individual cells can keep crawling toward you even if you scatter them to the winds with a gunshot, then you could have a situation where you inhale or ingest zombie cells and the cells could attack you from the inside like some kind of hyper-virulent infection (I think I just thought of an award winning scene for the next major zombie movie, BTW).

I think the only way to really kill a zombie is with fire, extreme cold, or acid baths, you have to kill each individual cell you see.
On a side note this post is starting to turn into the “treatment” for a really good zombie apocalypse movie.
