The Tower of Babel

Yeah, you're an ignorant idiot. The same kind of ignorant idiot as the militant atheist guy trying to paint the Nazis as a christian movement. But why should I be surprised by that? You're just two different sides of the same coin, after all. Uninformed and always on the lookout for cheap talking points. Keep to your bible. As opposed to factual books, you at least seem to have read it.

All those hairless torsos. All those fancy trimmed goaties. And not a cut - or a small piece of blood soaked toilet paper stuck to it - anywhere in sight. Coincidence? I think not...

Zahi Hawass coined the phrase "pyramidiots" for those people.  And he never met Hugster.

Hawass is a Mubarak man and a showstar, always enjoying the limelight. But as opposed to many, he actually knows what he's talking about.

My biggest complaint with Hawass was that he was too wedded to the notion that ancient Egyptians were just older versions of modern Egyptians.  And it was for economic reasons.
Plus... any artifacts which were returned to Egypt are now at serious risk.

Quote:Because we know ONLY good comes out of a people with 'one mind.' Resistance was futile everyone was assimilated! their technological and biological distinctivness was repurposed and added to their own (or it was put in camps to be later burned in massive ovens.)

But the tower was built not long after the flood, where all the evil people were killed, so how could it have been that bad for them to unify? Maybe then, Yahweh wouldn't need to free the isrealites and send them to kill neighboring tribes.

Though this does bring up the issue that not only did the flood not do any good, but separating people didn't do any good either. Yahweh has such a great track record managing his flock, doesn't he?

God is always fixing his mistakes. That's all Jesus is, a way to fix a prior mistake. God is Mr. Booboo.

The promise not to drown the world doesn't sound so impressive when later we find out he's just going to burn everyone next time. Like a kidnapper promising not t drown his hostage like the last one, because he's going to set the guy on fire.

The reason it took him over 20 years to build coral castle is he only worked at night, no one ever saw him moving the stones from the quarry which was 10 miles away...

the largest stone weighs around 30 tons. this is what is required to lift 30 tons with modern equipment.

Which apparently YOU think is comparable to this

I found that I, working alone, could easily move a 2400 lb. block 300 ft. per hour with little effort, and a 10,000 lb. block at 70 ft. per hour. I also stood two 8 ft. 2400 lb. blocks on end and placed another 2400 lb. block on top. This took about two hours per block. I found that one man, working by himself, without the use of wheels, rollers, pulleys, or any type of hoisting equipment could perform the task.

Sooooo.... This guy was able to move a maximum of 5 tons at a rate of 70ft per hour. You do realize the quarry the stone came from at coral castle was 10 miles away right? How do you suppose Ed moved this 30 ton stone in one night?

Another interesting quote from your website.

http://www.theforgottentechnology.com/newpage2

Quote:I could build The Great Pyramid of Giza, using my techniques and primitive tools. On a twenty-five year construction schedule, (working forty hours per week at fifty weeks per year, using the input of myself to calculate) I would need a crew of 520 people to move blocks from the main quarry to the site and another 100  to move the blocks on site. For hoisting I need a crew of 120 (40 working and 80 rotating).
Must I mention again the Ed worked alone?
Also notice he doesn't even factor in the actual CUTTING of the stone

Wait.. so a random guy on youtube has it all figured out? Is this the standard of evidence you're willing to accept? Are you sure you don't need an actual demonstration of someone moving a 30 ton stone 10 miles using only a pulley (In one night mind you) first, before you will believe it?

Apparently you DO have the capacity to believe in miracles....

RE: The Tower of Babel
Huggy, we've discovered (or perhaps rediscovered) that it is actually possible to move huge stones like that using only stone-age technology. It's not even really done by complex machines. It's mostly done by a series of wedges, blocks, levers, and other VERY simple principles, and the process mostly uses balance to roll and scoot the rocks around and rotate them into place.

There are various stone structures like Coral Castle that were built by people mostly in secret and about whom there are rumors of magic because the stones involved are so large and no modern construction was ever seen taking place. Several of them are in America.

Here's a guy in Michigan that started by building with 1-ton blocks and went up from there. Toward the end of this video he stands a Stonehenge-sized block upright using only gravity and boards. No magic.

Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)

Got any of that stuff we call evidence to go along with your cool story?

Like what?

You do know just because God mixed their languages does not mean people went stupid. That tower represented a huge investment in material an money. Material that all could be reused/repurposed. Meaning those bricks and stones were reused to build cities, homes and other public works in that region.

Or did you think they would just leave the tower stand and fall apart on it's own so we could point to it and confirm this story?
