Pretty anal of you to get upset over an an informal statement. I said that it's hyperbole, to express my level of frustration. Maybe your brain can't tell what that means. It's okay, I pity you.

Wait a minute, you're complaining about someone opining on a message board?
Perhaps you could pull the stick out of your ass and have a decent conversation? Just because someone disagrees with you is no reason to be an asshole.

I've got Christians in my family who in no way fit your stereotype, but hey, you're entitled to your own opinion, no matter that it doesn't accommodate the varied facts as they are. Sure, not all people believe in a bigoted god, but Religion is absolute nihilism, in the sense that without god there would be no meaning. People always say religion comforts people, why else would that be besides the person is totally nihilistic. Yeah, you can defend religion by saying some religious people aren't like that, but it's just pandering and the second part of my statement is something that applies to all religious people.
Except I'm not defending religion. I'm pointing out that your view of religious people is pretty shallow and doesn't account for the wide variety of approaches that they have to their faith.
I personally think that religion is nonsense. That doesn't mean that I despise religious people, even though I think they're wrong about how they arrive at their views.

There's no way to regulate social repercussions to statements regarded as unacceptable by society so I don't see the point in getting upset over it. It's not gonna change.

Should we tell him? There isn't a war between the religious and the irreligious. No one needs to die. But plenty of irreligious deal with a lot of frustration, anger and sadness when they leave the religion of their birth. It is natural to be pissed about it. But maybe it would go over better with people who aren't where you are (now) if you just made I-statements instead of global pronouncements to express how you feel.
What's that? Fuck myself? Yeah I know. Hang in there. It gets better.

Whether or not a statement is formal or informal has no bearing on its quality. It's a big world and you will always find someone who disagrees with your thoughts.
What I've found that works for me is carefully choosing whose opinions matter to me and whose don't, and measuring my responses accordingly.
Life is too short to get butthurt about online opinions. Take them aboard, or reject them, but getting bent out of shape over the opinion of a stranger is just silly.

I'm thankful for your pity. Lots of people just won't dole out a lot of pity these days. But when someone just lays it on me like that, I get goose bumps. And yeah, I'm pretty sure my brain's no good. Otherwise it would know precisely how to decode what you say in terms of what you mean. So sorry about that.

Wow, this is great. It's like the social enjoyment of League of Legends, and I don't even have to start the game!
