So, not so much an "accident" as the predictable result of guns and booze.

A New York City tabloid is continuing its battle with the National Rifle Association, calling NRA honcho Wayne LaPierre “Jihadi Wayne” on the cover of Monday morning’s edition for opposing sensible gun laws that could prevent terrorists from purchasing high-powered weapons.
The New York Daily News screaming headline “Nowhere To Hide, Jihadhi Wayne” on Monday morning comes on the heels of a similar headline last Wednesday reading: “NRA’s Sick Jihad.”
At issue is the NRA using their overwhelming influence with lawmakers to block a law that would ban anyone on the terrorist watch list from purchasing a gun.

Gun Nut Nation's favorite lobbying group will take money from terrorists because the death merchants insist they do so!

Also this weekend, two people were injured by firearms in separate incidents. In Marathon County, a 14-year-old male shot his 26-year-old hunting companion while trying to de-cock a rifle. In Rock County, a 16-year-old shot himself in the leg after falling asleep in a tree stand.

Given the sheer number of accidental shootings, maybe these people need to go back to using muskets. It's hard to forget if you loaded a fucking musket, after all.
