Yeah, well, sometimes there are glitches in the machine.

So what doesn't provide your senses with the sublime? What do you have an aversion for?
Natural as opposed to supernatural. As in, my spirituality is based on what's real rather than stories of burning bushes and parting waters. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Agnostic.

He's staying the fuck out of my way. That's a +1.
I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.

Deism is a crutch, a matter of comfort and projection of one's hopes onto a universe that shows no sign of a cosmic being.
To be fair it's not a totally absurd position, but the assumption of deity is unjustified.

You did. Did I ask if that is an "appeal to intuition"?

Glitches are everywhere.

Supernature is impossible. If God exists he, naturally, exists.

Well, the part of your spirituality that isn't about a deity or anything supernatural is real, yes.

Sorry, I couldn't follow your post clearly. Can you explain?
It would be nice if you quoted correctly ....
Which part would you like to cover....remembering we are talking about opinions here.

I try not to quote every part of a post I'm responding to. This cuts down on the use of space and clutter on a discussion board. Typically, I will edit my quotations to what's needed for the purpose of discussion.
In this case, I'm asking about how you arrived at your conclusion that we don't want to own up to our own responsibilities.

Which is not clear in your quote....
How I arrived at my conclusions is a long story. Are we talking specific as in Deist Paladin and Kichi or are we speaking generalisation of religious humans??

@ Dotard. I don't knoe wheter a term secular muslim is the best. However it is someone who identifies him/her self as a muslim, doesn't eat pork, maybe fasts for Ramadan and leaves it at that. So, its like a non practising believer.
Thanks

You said "deists" so that would indicate you were speaking of your general impression of deists.
Apparently, you also regard deism as a religion. Did you read my earlier post on that topic? I regard deism as more of a philosophy since there are no trappings of religion. There are no clergy, no scriptures, no taboos, no rituals, no prayers, no temples, no religious services, etc.

Deism merely implies the belief in a deity. There aren't really any philosophical implications about that. Any philosophy on top of the deism is added.
