Yeah, I bombed today. Hopefully everyone else did just as poorly.
I don't know if the Vikings winning is an upset. Three out of the four analysts I was watching this morining picked them to win.
That's something I hate about analysts, not speaking specifically about the game tonight, but in my view, they'll often pump up the chances of a team that isn't likely to win, and I think they do it to encourage viewership. I'd rather hear what they really feel, rather than that kind of garbage.

I'm guessing he means you get 1 point for correctly predicting the winner of wild card games, 3 points for divisional, 5 for conference, and 7 for super bowl?
That's the ticket. After tonight we'll have the seeding, and then we can see who can pick the entire playoffs all the way through the most accurately.
Otherwise, it will just be picking 1-4 games a week.

Okay
For those of us who do not have access to the games can you narrow it down for us, as to who's in contention for wildcards? Some of us aren't as experienced with this sort of thing. I know I will need help.

I never thought about it that way, but I've been watching the last couple of Vikings game and thought what they had to say was fairly accurate. The Vikings have been on a roll, and the Packers have been suffering in the last half of the season.
Maybe that's just what they want, though, a regular Joe like me to think I know what I'm talking about.

Tiberius has clinched 1st place for the Week 17 Pick'em League.
If the Packers win, he will win outright. If the Vikings win, Faith No More and Crossless1 will join him in joint 1st place.
Brian37 has won the overall 4 week record. Tiberius comes in 2nd place, and Crossless1 will be joint 2nd if the Vikings win.

Whil I will probably finish dead last in the standings, my Broncos managed to wrap up the #1 seed. Congrats to the Patriots for having home field throughout the playoffs due to Manning (most likely) getting the nod in two weeks thanks to Kubiak's fucking gutless call to replace Osweiler well before anything was decided. If Manning gets the start in two weeks, I expect the usual 1-and-done that Manning is famous for. Woooo! Go Broncos! And, I absolutely LOVE Midnight Moon fruit moonshine. I survived week 17 of the NFL thanks to them!
I think I'm gonna need much more in two weeks...

Through one half, the Vikings are playing a good game. They need to keep Rodgers in the pocket, and keep the score down. We can't win a shootout with GB. All we need now is that elusive break.
