Love it.  My best friend in high school's line was "if God didn't want us to eat animals, He wouldn't have made them out of meat."  

But undeniably, eating lower on the food chain is good for the environment and all.

Aurora, I have come to just skip right over the majority of posts Rhythm makes to me. Trying to talk with him has always proven fruitless because of his continuous straws. It's not worth it.

Oh Cath....how do I love thee, let me count the ways.   Wink

It's not my fault that vegetarianism has taken a counterproductive and entirely fictive narrative of late. Or that people who like to point the finger at meat eaters can't handle having that evil eye turned back at them. It shouldn't be so hard. If you can't take it, don't dish it out. Aroura and I should be fast friends, we're concerned by the same things, we've both taken action against what we see to be a terrible situation. It's hard to be friends with someone, however, when they swallow a lie told about you hook line and sinker, sold by the same groups which you -both- oppose, and then perpetuate it in honest ignorance.

No, they'd be dead.  We hunt the ones that stray from their pens for reasons unrelated to dinner.  Badass motherfuckers, pigs (much respect...lol)....and If it weren't for us I'd give them the best shot at survival in our absence....but we aren't absent. In the absence of production pigs are a nuisance, much like wolves or mountain lions....and we see what's happened to them. A vegetarian world would not abide their existence any more than our omnivorous world already does...which is not at all. They're a liability.

You if your careful and understanding about where your meat and produce comes from, you can still ear near and not be part of the problem. There are local and organic suppliers all over the place
