Did Jesus exist?

Not as portrayed in the Bible.
Jesus the Cabana Boy exists. The other one Idunno . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
Yes. He cuts my lawn every other week in the summer.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

In 1963 he played the outfield in the same game with his two brothers, Matty and Felipe, and was seen by thousands....unlike your boy. I'd have preferred "No Fucking Way - like Engelbert Caesar."
Growing amounts of evidence seems to indicate not.
I, personally, believe he's likely an amalgam of several figures. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
The best answer is he likely existed, but no one can be absolutely sure.

There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide mankind that cannot be achieved as well or better through secular means.

Did the Jesus as described in the Bible exist? No, absolutely not. Was there someone upon whom the myths of godhood were posthumously draped? Maybe. What difference does it make though, since the only thing anyone cares about is the Biblical Jesus and that's pure fantasy.
