My underlying contention that people greenwalded individuals like Dawkins and Harris in the past is wide enough in scope that it doesn't ask for immediate proof, I think you'll agree. Yours, however, is specific enough that it needs to be justified - Who has Dawkins greenwalded in the past and how?

That actually happened at a company I was working for. They published a periodical and there are certain german words that can change their meaning pretty quickly when a typo occurs. The letter G is next to the letter F on the keyboard, after all. So, "gut" (good) can easily turn into "fut" (cunt). A very vulgar word for cunt, at least where I live. And that's exactly what happened.

I used to agree with you. I don't like idiotic trends, including those of a linguistic nature, despite my age. However I've seen the point being made by some people that it's a mere evolution of the written word, if you wish, and that it's not necessarily bad.
