Where are your hands when driving?

Where are your hands when driving?
Lets limit this to driving an automobile, or not, as you choose.

Being an old fart (58), we were taught hands at 10 and 2. I still do that when using both hands. With one hand it's at 12.

With the advent of air bags I understand that is no longer safe. I've heard recommendations of 9 and 3 or 8 and 4.

Where do you grab the wheel at? Or just where do you grab?

In my pants.
Is that weird?

The tongs on the inside of the steering wheel are at about 10 and 2, so that's a comfortable place to rest my hands. Otherwise my left hand might be at 12. Not the safest thing to do, but I will admit to driving sort of relaxed with one hand on the wheel in town. Only going about 25 mph anyway.

Not if the car is in neutral and you're not!

Shit, I almost forgot. For you youngsters the numbers are a reference to an analog clock face.

What can I say?
Driving makes me nervous!

Seriously, I do have a bad habit of driving with one hand most of the time. Not because I've got the other one playing with the panty hamster, though.

My hands are usually at 10 and 3. I'm a rebel, I know.

I keep one hand on the steer, the other on the gear.
