The Problem with Christians

But evolution has nothing to say about species evolving from pond slime by pot luck. First of all evolution doesn't know exactly what the sum total of life originated from, we don't have enough evidence of 4,000,000,000 years ago. Second of all, modern day pond slime is as evolved as you and I are, that's why its still here.

If you're going to try and argue against evolution, please do yourself and us the favour of not creating a straw man which has no relation to either the observed phenomenon of evolution, or the scientific theory of evolution to explain this phenomenon. For yourself it makes you look slightly less of an idiot, and for us it removes the tedium of having to refute, again, a series of idiot points refuted a thousand times already.

Speaking of pond slime.... I got reminded of chromosome count on different animals/plants/etc...

"
Adder's tongue (Ophioglossum reticulatum), a member of this family, is notable for having as many as 1260 chromosomes.[5] For comparison, humans have 46 chromosomes, consisting of 23 pairs.

It's a plant... and it gets far more "info" than humans?!

Heck... even dogs have more chromosomes than people!

Some design...

It isn't that the mechanism of action "does not require a natural explanation" I would suggest that it  "does not have a natural explanation." Abiogenesis isn't something we ever see in nature so why do we assume it happens/happened? According to atheists it must have happened naturally because there is no possibility of it occurring any other way. This is due to inherent bias in the atheist worldview. Without the bias, a supernatural entity is a real possibility.

What does accepting abiogenesis or not have to do with atheism?

From Wiki

"The number of chromosomes in an organism's genome also does not necessarily correlate with the amount of DNA in its genome."

Yeah, great point Empress, thank you! A rejection of abiogenesis doesn't equal Yahweh.

Here's the thing, what you perceive to be "natural" are filtered through the 5 senses, to claim something doesn't exist just because you can't detect it by seeing, touching, smelling, hearing, or tasting it, is simply foolish.

If the human eye can only distinguish around 10 million colors, does that mean only 10 million colors exist? If a person is born blind, how would you go about proving color exists?

Being spiritual means not to place absolute unwavering trust in the 5 senses, because the natural senses only detect the natural, not the spiritual; Hence:

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: ( For we walk by faith, not by sight: ) -
2 Corinthians 6-7

It's okay, Huggy. Nobody is trying to take your imaginary friend away from you.

Oh, great. You actually found a wiki link. I'm impressed.

Which means that you cannot detect god. So you believe in nothing?

Did you miss the whole "we walk by faith not by sight" thing? If we could detect God with the natural senses, then we wouldn't need faith now would we?

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. - Hebrews 11:6
