I've learned a lot by reading discussions on this forum where one person is unreasonable. Even when I'm answering pool it's not all about him
If he wants to open his mind and reconsider his thinking, awesome. If not, maybe someone else will take something away from the discussion.

This is exactly why I engage the close-minded -- not to change their mind, but to convince the audience.

I read a stat one time that asserted 95% of all forum members never post, but often only read.

If there is no opposing view to any particular argument, that audience doesn't get the benefit of both sides. I don't play Devil's Advocate with it -- I onlt defend views I sincerely hold -- but I reckon that those are the views I can most eloquently defend. And when the defense is rock-solid, as is the case here, I revert to pointed mockery, as I've done here, in order to hammer home points already made.

I hope Pool keeps coming back. I also think he should change his name to Piñata the Great, because he provides a perfect sounding board to spread the message of equality.

He and his sort are losing the battle in history. The story of progress in the last few centuries has been one of expanded equality between races, the genders, orientations, and the like. His putting up a battle allows those of us who march for equality to hoist our flag once more, and as you alluded to, win even more followers.

You should work to make yourself happy, first.  Always.  This is not in a selfish way.
If you are not happy with yourself, you will NEVER be happy with your partner, child, parent, or any other relationship.

Also, if either you or your spouse thinks they can only be happy if they have wealth and more stuff, then neither of you will EVER be actually happy.

I realize this is a bit off the topic of men vs women, but I have long since learned that my husband is not responsible for my happiness.  Nor is my child, nor my parents.  That's on me, and although having enough money to be comfortable is helpful, having more than that won't make me happier.

I no longer think my post count matters so now there are some people I see no reason to respond to when they're never going to change their mind. Unreasonable people cannot be reasoned with. Rarely does anyone change their mind during a debate they change their mind afterwards and usually only when sufficient time has passed that they can convince people it was their own idea to change their mind. I will however respond to unreasonable people on the few occasions where they are being reasonable or entertaining.

Despite all the pressures and risks facing men today support services for men are almost non existent compared to services for women. There are departments for women's issues in the White House and the UN, but none for men. The UN promotes genital mutilation of male children but condems female genital mutilation. This is Real Sexism.

Men earn 61.5% of all income but only account for 25% of domestic spending. Men only spend 40% of what they earn after tax. In contrast women make up 38.5% of all income but control 75% of domestic spending, women on average spend 90% MORE MONEY THAN THEY EARN. Men are exploited as cash machines and even with spending on children accounted for women still spend more money on themselves than the combined spending for men and children. This can even be observed in the floor space allocated to women's products in most shopping centres.

Men pay over 70% of income tax but the vast majority of public spending is on services for women. There is more money spent on breast cancer than lung cancer and prostate cancer combined, despite the fact that lung cancer alone has 3-4 times more fatalities than breast cancer. A man's chance of getting cancer is 44% and 23% of men will die from cancer, 38% of women get cancer and 19% die. Yet there is vastly more money spent on cancer for women, this is lethal discrimination. Women pay 60% less tax despite spending 300% more in domestic spending than men. Women also consume two third of public spending, there are 3 times the amount of gender specific health services for women than men despite the fact that for equal increases in health spending a man's life expectancy rate increases nearly twice as much as a woman's.

I'm not condemning women, I love women, I hate feminism, this is not a link that propagates misogyny, this is a link that is aimed at debunking the countless claims that led to the rise of feminism and the feminism movements we are currently seeing.
This time I'm not debating from the angle of pointing out the various shortcomings of feminism, vile nature of prominent feminists, this time I'm arguing from the angle of debunking the many claims that gave birth to third wave feminism in the first place, in an attempt to show why the existence of such a movement itself is pointless and even harmful to society(but largely beneficial and profitable for corporate giants.)
