RE: About atheism
The idea that life is not eternal is nowhere near the idea that life is an illusion. Life can be, and in my opinion is, both transitory and very real.

Sure, why not?

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Speaking only for myself, I -love- the idea of some gods.  There are alot of them...and for every crapgod I don't care for like Yahweh there are dozens of comic, tragic, or just downright awesome gods that I thoroughly enjoy.  Doesn't help me to believe in any of them, and I've never understood why people think it's relevant to belief in either direction.

Is that how belief works? If, for example...I hate the idea of people starving.....does that mean that I will somehow not believe that people are starving? If I really love the idea of peppered bacon, does that mean that I will begin to believe that by feeding a sow jalepenos I can make that happen?

Is that how belief works for you..in your experience?

Yes. For example agnostic position is a default. You add religious fate and a person is sure like its a fact that God exists. You add "Atheistic" fate and person says "I decided that God doesn't exist".

You would do well to stick to speaking for yourself, and letting others speak for themselves. Imputing a position wrongfully to another person is simply rude, not to mention unwise.

If you want to know about my atheism, feel free to ask. It doesn't comport with your overly-narrow, stereotypical portrayal, so if you are going to ask, be ready to listen.

Oh no, you misunderstand me. I do object to the supernatural. I think it's bullshit. That, however, has literally nothing to do with my atheism because that's not what atheism is.

Atheists do not believe in gods. Pure and simple. Without additional descriptors (strong, hard, gnostic, etc.), that is all the word means. An atheist might believe in the supernatural, or he might not. An atheist could believe in ghosts, wizards, unicorns, AND the afterlife and still be an atheist. Atheism only pertains to whether a person believes in any gods.

But yeah, in general, I don't believe in magic, and that is because I am a skeptic. My atheism is also the result of my skepticism, and it is a separate position of belief from whether I believe in fairies or werewolves (which I don't).
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)

Pathetic, resorting to personal insults.

Better get your karma squared away, kid ... you wanna come back as a cockroach?

This is not even a difficult concept to grasp. One has to wonder whether the ignorance is willful.

What in the what who? That doesn't make any sense insofar it is even grammatical. Someone "ironically argues for complete death and a good lifetime on earth"?

Look it up on YouTube I wont bother copy pasting, sorry.

I think atheistic position is stupid when you have agnosticism.

Wow. Someone who understands neither atheism or agnosticism wants to tell us how were doing it wrong. Whodathunkit?!? [Image: free-rolleye-smileys-323.gif]

Seriously, don't you have something better to do that spewing ignorance all over the place like a poorly house trained Chihuahua spewing shit after stealing a truck stop burrito?!?

Let's start with everything you wrote. Then, we can probably continue with everything else you will write.

PP seems to feel sorry for God, that we're neglecting his feelings or something. Like he's an old man no one wants to visit anymore, because he's out of touch with us kids.

I've never understood the obsession with trying to protect God. If anyone doesn't need it, you'd think it would be him.
