Not the same at all. The bible simply states that "in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. End of sentence.

There is no mention of how long the earth has been around before God began seeding it with life, and even then the term"replenish the earth" is used, so who knows?

Nevermind how long. You believe that menkind has been created right at the start and is the focus of your god. Correct me, if I'm wrong. That's the same as believing in a young earth.

Never mind how long? But that's the whole point isn't it? I believe that the earth has been around far longer than 6000 years, that isn't what a yec believes.
