How are you voting in the EU referendum?

Might well be. I don't know if I should laugh or cry, since I already lost all in 2008. So, there's nothing left to lose on my account, but I still have to live in this world. And I don't want to see it turned into the horror show my parents had to live with when growing up.

Do we know if the Brits have anything resembling a reasonable transition plan? Or did the powers that be get caught with their pants down?

Britain followed socialist practices for years, and it left them unable to handle leaving the EU in a way which wouldn't hurt them. Breaking away was the right move, but we're seeing how much damage the socialist agenda can cause. We can't let that happen here."

I would imagine Trump will go the opposite route, there's too much danger of that backfiring and throwing a positive light on the democratic socialist policies that kept the EU and the UK somewhat stable for so long.

I'd imagine he'd blame it on Obama's lack of leadership. "I'd totally make that deal. I'm a yooge deal maker. I'd go in there, and 'boom' --- deal."
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Of course they don't. The government never wanted this vote to begin with. The prime minister thought of he offered it he could sooth the anti-EU base of his party. They never expected it to actually pass.

No country has ever left the EU before either.

They've got a couple of years to come up with one Kev (a plan, that is).
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The larger problem is that the EU probably doesn't have a plan either. They just sat it out and played the three monkeys game. Or they simply didn't communicate their contingency plan, which would be equally catastrophic.

There's always a positive in every situation, I guess.
