Nicola Sturgeon says her government will seek to enter into “immediate discussions” with Brussels to “protect Scotland’s place in the EU” in the wake of the Brexit vote.

Speaking outside her official residence in Edinburgh, Scotland’s first minister said her cabinet had agreed to begin work on legislation that would allow for the option of a second independence referendum.

For what it's worth, which is probably nothing, I apologise to Bella and Napo. I'm getting too tunnel-visioned and insular with my thinking on all this. I've just been talking with a couple of workmen, leavers, and they're nice guys, one of them an ex-soldier, and making some good points and ultimately full of hope for the future. So you know what? The internet is a microcosmos of the world. For what it's worth, you find as many nice and interesting people there as you find assholes. Not confined to any particular nationality. The only difference being that in real life, you have a chance not to socialise with the assholes.

I thought this was about the UK gaining independence, not being anti europe. This goes to show that sometimes, people dont say what they really think. Trying to justify just makes the doublethink more grievous. I have nothing personally against Bella, Napo, etc. I think they made a dumb decision and use my words to express it. If they feel offended, its their previledge to be so. 0 fucks will be goven by me.

If this all somehow works out well, for Britain and even for the rest of the world, I'll call it a fluke. I don't think there's any way anyone could predict with any accuracy a good result from this.

Of course they didn't. This is a huge deal and a major part of the reason they wanted independence to begin with. Even if all of Scotland pulls together and votes one way, their votes will never be heard because the rest of the U.K. does not align with Scottish view on politics. Now they can show it. And now is the time to get out before the deal is sealed.
