Your lack of imagination is your defeat

Where did I say that air and water are the same? Or are you saying that I said that something else is the same as something else? In which case explain what you are referring to.

Wrong. At the beginning of the Big Bang there was only energy. Then matter condensed out of this.

Wrong. Liquids and gases are also considered matter but in different states.

Physicality can not possibly give birth to something more evolved such as the consciousness.

So why is it that we lose consciousness when we are put under anaesthetic and have no memory of our time under when we wake up? Why do people lose their memories when they suffer from Alzheimers? Why are we affected by alcohol?

Like a piece of puzzle that can only fit in the correct jigsaw.  Lightbulb

Please show me a single example of energy retaining a complex form without the use of matter in any state.

From what you've said I'm pretty sure you don't understand how biology works, or how evolution works

Go ahead then and explain how evolution works.  Worship

No, you explain the mechanisms of evolution. After the dozens (hundreds?) of pages of nonsense, strawmen, unsubstantiated claims, and sheer bullshit that you've spewed on these forums, you owe it to us to demonstrate that you understand the most basic things about science.

Article about evolution for anyone who wants to educate themselves. There's no excuse for ignorance these days.

The best way to deal with ol' prikky is to laugh, trying to have any kind of debate with him is like trying to pin diarrhea to a wall. Messy.
You may refer to me as "Oh High One."

If you actually want to learn how evolution works, go read a science book, I recommend The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins.

What I'm calling you out on is your use of the term is not as it is used in science. Evolution just means change over time, it doesn't imply that things get better.

You are using 'evolution' in the new age sense that adds the idea of progression, like going through the education system. You hear people talking about 'soul evolution' which is just totally not understanding the concept.

So when you say that the difference between human bodies made up of elements that gives rise to consciousness, and the universe itself, is just a "different stage of evolution" that's not what evolution means, and I don't think it's even a coherent concept in any sense of the word. Humans aren't going to evolve into conscious universes.

I also say you don't understand biology because a mind is the product of biological processes. We have no examples of minds that are not part of biological organisms so it is not reasonable to ascribe sentience to the universe.

I understand it must be difficult after a lifetime of rituals to seriously consider the fact that you've just been exploring your own imagination.

Seriously, if one side lacks imagination, in my experience it's the theist side. But that might be unfair, it may be the poor rationalisations they employ which makes it seem that way.

I mean, "Who created the universe" shows a lack of imagination. It overlooks two massively different scenarios before it's even received an answer.

I'm sure I'll be repeating my post about evolution in a minute after we hear about how it's to do with little rivers and big fucking rivers.

That guy in question doesn't get it.  Banging Head On Desk

Once again he follow the same demented view that evolution is only related to"a process that results in heritable changes in a population spread over many generations"
He doesn't get the fact that evolution is individual and if he sees as a process that results in heritable changes in a population spread over many generations"it is because a group of creature
fit in a particular jigsaw puzzle.
Nothing to do therefore with a collective group marching together hand in hand.
Same stale garbage Roberto.  Wink

Well, you clicked on the link it seems, that's more than I was expecting.

You need a new word for whatever the hell you think evolution is. Language is important.

No, dumbass, biological evolution is about heritable changes in populations -- it is not about individuals. Epic fail, as usual with you. I can't say I'm surprised though.

Since LR doesn't seem to get it, I'll even go one step further and provide an actual screen shot from my online textbook - because I don't just cut and color hair - I have to learn about chemistry and how they relate to cosmetology:
