I hope so. Because if I am unable to get Windows 10 this problem could start all over again easily. I am having to go through all this to resintall Windows 8.1 because I had to revert to 8.0 because Windows 8.1 updates failed and made me have to revert back to 8.0 because it was stuck on a loop.
So it could happen all over again in 8.1 if I don't download Windows 10 immediately.
And then I still have the problem of whether Windows 10 updates will work after installing Windows 10

Normally, this shouldn't happen.
Never had a single problem with win10 updates.

Except for that time when win10 decided "that's enough of that, I'm going to reboot to install this here update I want".
And keep in mind that I rarely shutdown windows... I merely hibernate, so everything is up and running when I turn it on. Call me lazy

That's normal for Windows though. I expect that. What I don't expect is:

"Loves" is a bit much...
I like linux for work purposes.
My laptop only has windows. Came with it, paid for it, apparently, so... keep it... also, games! 
My Raspberry pi 2, at home.... is running Raspbian (a debian linux) and works like a charm. It's always, always always on, except when some circuit breaker trips.... -.-'

One reason I have installed and changed the minimum on my laptop, I trust the default settings that come with a computer... what I don't trust is myself fucking it up.
So I try not to touch anything. If I'm the computer equivalent of Homer Simpson I mustn't touch the big red button marked DO NOT PRESS to cause a meltdown.
So, it's really annoying when automatic updates fuck everything up when I've done basically nothing. All I installed was Skype, Spotify and Fallout 3.
