I prefer Egyptian history as well.
But WW2, particuarly Nazi Germany, is super interesting.

Never heard of it
Also this film is the only one i've seen that actually uses a shell ricochet in a semi-realistic way

Our WW2 education was (naturally) VERY Britain-centric almost to the degree of one-sidedness. It was all the boring shit, and literally with no depth or international context.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie
We got taught the basics of those things at school. I'm actually surprised most schools don't teach those, but fair enough.

Of course it's going to be Britain-centric to a degree. Same with the 'muricans, and so on and so on. Oh christ, that is the boring crap. First two are russian, Stalingrad is an interesting one, as it's considered the bloodiest battle in all history, around 2 million soldiers died there. Kursk is the biggest tank battle in history as 300 german tanks managed to accidentally run into 500 russian tanks outside the town of Prokhorovka, near the city of kursk. Bastogne is in belgium, a bunch of paratroopers held a hill around this strategic town against insane odds, and berlin is of course the last battle of the war, and is by far the most interesting, because a lot of interesting things happened that you wouldn't expect from the germans. (And yes, this was a boring post by your resident boring history guy. )

I have no words.
Ooookaaay... I'm not sure how that is going to reduce the stigma rather than make it appear crazier, but I suspect it's at least not a public health hazard if it is dried up?
