Sam Harris On Trump........

Abris please cut me some slack here. 

Sam is hardly a snake oil salesman. Trump is, Pat Roberson is sure. Now you assume that everyone already knows that is flat out crap. I can tell you and not just with Sam, but with Hitchens and Dawkins and Stenger, that before reading all those works, I didn't know shit. 

I'm willing to cut you some slack. But Harris didn't provide a single line, a single word even that I didn't come up with using my own reasoning. I'm not familar with Hitchens, since I didn't read or follow any of his work, and I do appreciate Dawkins for his humor. But in general, I never needed any of them to arrive where I am. When I hear them now it's always, well why are you telling me this? I cut Dawkins more slack than the others, because of his humour. I cut Harris - still not Sam - less slack because of his political positions and because of him taking himself too seriously.

That is not the point. You first off admitted he did "channel" and I agree he did. The problem is Trump isn't some no name who doesn't influence people. He isn't the mentally ill guy on the street corner everyone walks by who screams they are Napoleon. 

If you agree he is "channeling" and I do too, the same ideas, how the fuck does that make him harmless? It isn't that Trump even wants to be a despot, I simply think he spent his life being told "a loser is a loser" and anything less made a looser unworthy. He mimics the same cheap "tough guy" act because it works, just like it did for Hitler.

I love that you argue with things people never say. It's as if you have voices in your head that are arguing you with too as you try to argue with me.

I never said he was harmless(that's your voices again), but comparing the two as if they're equals just shows a complete lack of understanding of how Hitler came power and the methods he used, and then you double down on that lack of understanding by claiming the "tough guy" act worked for Hitler. Not only is that such an asinine comment, it doesn't even remotely come close to describing how Hitler seized power.

You're just so desperate to use whatever hyperbole you can to discredit Trump, but that is futile considering no one can discredit Trump like Trump can.

One must be an idiot to do the same thing and reach any other conclusion. His positions are well thought out and he's very rational. You'd be hard pressed to prove anything he says wrong or invalid. But a lot of people think otherwise out of stupidity.

Meh, no , the little knowns like Infidel Guy and The Atheists of Austin set them all up. But even prior to that you had James A Haught and Sagan and Madalyn Murray O'Hair. I knew about Dawkins and James A Haught prior to Harris.
