I'm in San Diego (city), California. We're almost immune to snow, but hitchhike to the other end of the county, 2 hours away by car, and boom, the weather is much different. Surprised we aren't known for skiing.

I fucking love Christmas. It's easily my favorite time of year. Besides, everyone knows it's about consumerism more than Jesus

I like the Christmas dinner and enjoy giving my family presents.
Most of my family is atheists, to us its a cultural thing.

Lust: sure, a Christmas boink is fun, and remember, with your dear vorlon, a boink is really depraved
Gluttony: eating food till I can't walk anymore Greed: what would Christmas be without anticipating lavish presents from friends and relatives who can't afford them ?? Sloth: no one expects me to work on Christmas, and after gorging myself on fine food, sleeping it off is standard procedure Wrath: sure, it's always there beneath the surface; a lame gift, a despised relative shows up, talking politics with the guests Envy: someone got a BETTER PRESENT than me !! OMFG !!!!!! Pride: damn I'm successful, successful enough to blow a wad of cash on a christmas bash designed to show off my conspicuous consumption and decadent lifestyle The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
I swear I've made that post before, but I looked thru the thread and didn't see it.

Christmas is a recycled pagan holiday that was recycled yet again by capitalism. Why shouldn't an atheist celebrate with everyone else? To me it's a good excuse to be around people I love to have a good time. If it weren't for them, it would just be another cold day to suffer through.
I don't believe you. Get over it.
