RE: Atheist Debates Project - Matt Dillahunty
Anyway, it is 22h32 here so, have a very nice evening to all those in Europe, have a nice day to all those in the West, and have a nice breakfast to all those living in the East.

I do like Matt Dillahunty's style a lot, it's just that like for abaris, TAE didn't hold my attention for too long even though it is a cool format and has nice hosts, to me it became a bit of more of the same after a while.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I do believe you drank the kool aid on this one.

Here you go, a video which has led to a book that is coming out this November.

Been having a tough time playing videos through Tapatalk lately, but I'll find I on YouTube and have a watch. Thank you!

Yeah, TAE does become a lot of the same over and over, mostly because theists call in with the same handful of terrible arguments all the time. And sometimes the SAME theists call in over and over, haha. It's kind of like AF! [emoji39]. Sometimes people just blow my mind though, like the moon hoaxer. Crazy people never fail to entertain me.

Works both ways, you know. The theist cardboard asking where's your morals and the atheist cardboards asking why does god do this or that.

Nobody has an exclusive right to banality, you know.

As for Dillahunty's show. Yes, I stopped watching because of that. It got old to hear the same things over and over.

Of course it does. Not all rebuttals to theistic arguments for God are creative or thoughtful, or even EFFECTIVE. I don't consider a response "good" just because it was spoken by an atheist. The content of the message should be the only thing that matters in the end, regardless of what type of "-ist" a person identifies with, if any at all.

For your entertainment: a short, informative bit on the contents of common ID arguments from Matt -

I like Dillahunty because besides debating well he's not arrogant and has a sense of humor. I don't watch the Atheist Experience often though. The problem is that there are only so many arguments for the existence of god. Once you've heard them all refuted three or four times it gets old.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

There's kool aid to be had?  Where??

But maybe no kool aid was involved.  Maybe you and Alex simply disagree.  Do you think mind altering drugs is the only way anyone would side with Alex over yourself?

There's an incredible amount of false information about Sam out there. I think Alex got sucked in by it, is all.

Sam doesn't hold any views that the average rational person would deem controversial. But if you don't hear them from him it's very likely you'll hear about it from a secondary source, one biased and opposed to him for any number of reasons. One only interested in making him look bad.

If Alex read Sam's stuff and disagrees with him, that's perfectly fine. If he doesn't like the guy, then I suspect he's been drinking the kool aid, like I said.

Yeah, we already got it the first time round.

I just find it hilarious to attack Alex for being biased or a kool aid drinker when we have this one to judge bias.

And it's Sam, is it? So you already had that one on one to be on a first name base.
