It's kind of silly.  America is here because our ancestors killed a lot of people.  A LOT of people.  And once they got everything they wanted, and were on top of the world, they said "Alright!  Time Out!  Killing's bad.  Everybody has to be nice now!"

Indians:  Now that you guys admit conquering is bad, can we have our land back.
US: Sorry buddy, that was before we called timeout on conquering.
US: *TIME IN!* invades Iraq *TIME OUT*
Syria: Doh! You guys are very quick with your times ins and outs!

What's your point? As time goes on and as we become more civilized, we learn from our mistakes, and things that were thought to be "ok" at one point, like slavery, rape, and genocide, are now seen as the monstrocities that they really are. It's disturbing to see someone saying that killing innocent ppl is a "fine" option just because it was viewed as ok at certain points in history. I'd like to think decent, civilized people have moved past that.

Agreed. I think I need to leave. This is making me feel sick.

Is that so? If I recall correctly, you dont feel sick about the Vatican protecting child molesters. You even defend the vatican. Reconsider your morals.

How many people around you need help, and you do nothing about it? Not even feel pity. Dont play the good guys when you dont move a finger to help those in need.

How would you feel if people judged you before they ever got to know you?

I would not expect anyone to help me. As I said some posts ago, I wouldnt  feel special compared to the other refugees. If someone helps me, great. If some dont, I wouldnt blame them because I wouldnt either.

That'd be a mighty cold world, I think.

Bold is mine.
Just how exactly do you know this? You don't. The only pitiful thing here is you projecting your own apathy onto others.

Apathy indeed just as wall tries to cloak his inhumanity in intellectual babble

Um right. That's exactly what I said.

No, what I actually said was that I object to YOU fantasizing about killing every priest, bishop, Cardinal, and pope, because the vast majority of them had nothing to do with the molestation or with the cover ups. You know that. Way to purposely misrepresent.

And yeah... How silly of me to defend innocent ppl from those who fantasize about slaughtering them. You are a sick, twisted individual.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Well one good thing came from this thread. I've realized that I am not the most depressed person here. Macoleco and wallym get to fight over that trophy.

If you remember correctly, I stated many times on that thread I would not do that for real. Nor do I fantasize about it. Stop twisting my words to your convenience.
