"Sin" and "hell" aren't really trigger words for me in the sense of stimulating violent emotion. Instead I am bemused by the fact that they reflect the "fathers"' of the church's perceived need to add this - yet another dimension of farcical grossness - to the overall fraud of Christianity.

If I wasn't positive that there were children crying themselves to sleep at night because of being told about these things, I might find it funny too. But I just can't do that.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

No it's just extremely annoying

You answered that question yourself. It is real and a part of life. It's not offensive.
Just like those who are offended with the Trump presidency saying "Trump's not my President!"
Sorry cupcakes, he is.
Explain how that's better than saying, "I understand how horrible and traumatic that was, so I'll avoid bringing up the subject as best I can unless you feel like talking about it."
There's a reason there are specific types of counseling just for rape victims and specific types of counseling for those with severe phobias centered around the idea of hell they were taught.

Sorry cupcake, there's no proof of an afterlife, or a god of any manner (actually rather the opposite) and those are facts. You obviously choose to live in a dilution so I can't much help you.

Well you know what they say about small hands, and small brains. Or was it small hands small dicks? I forget. Go giggity over his orangeness elsewhere, this is a grown up thread kkkkkkkkk.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Trump's not my president.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
