My guess is that they'll do a study and come up with nothing conclusive and they'll just never mention anything about it to the public. A non issue, imho.

I have no idea what you are referring to, but if this is how you're going to talk to me (making assumptions about me and accusing me of opinions I don't hold) then I don't see a reason to engage with you. Maybe you're in a pissy mood and decided to take it out on me. Hope you feel better.

Hopefully there are enough doctors out there who will disagree with them so vehemently that it really won't change the general public's mind. My mother and father in law are both family physicians and they think the whole vaccine scare is ridiculous. I doubt any sort of politically motivated "study" will change their mind and/or make them stop recommending it to their patients.

The damage is already done. People tend to look at the sensationalist feeds and don't bother with the debunking efforts. There's an abundance of rigged studies. If everyone were to look at the serious researchers, there wouldn't be any climate change deniers left or anti vaxxers for that matter. But they are out there and they always find or buy some fringe scientist singing their tune. I suspect that's the whole purpose of the game. Just the same as with other departments Trump assigned so far. They all have a record of wanting to dismantle the departments they're now heading.

Sorry, I don't mean to be argumentative aND I'm not an anti vaxxer. I just don't see what the huge deal is about this.

Are you, perhaps, familiar with Andrew Wakefield, the one who began the anti-vaxxer hysteria? In particular, the immense conflicts of interest and fudging of data in his study that eventually led him to lose his license?

What I'm saying is, anti-vaxxers of a particular stripe have a history of not letting the facts get in the way of promulgating their narrative. They'll falsify or skew studies to preserve their conclusions, if a poorly formulated study gives them what they want while a properly done one doesn't, they'll take the former and ignore the latter. The point is that to be an anti-vaxxer at all requires a certain willingness to ignore the majority of studies that disagree, and cleave to those that conclude the presupposed conclusion, no matter how malformed or biased they are.

The concern that lies and unscrupulously produced studies will be employed is more than real.
