Not everyone sees him as a bully.

Possibly. But i guess that could be said about people who voted for either. I feel many who vote are probably misinformed or uninformed.

Mama! But, but, his dogs were black! Lol!

Looking from afar,
It goes to show that racism, amongst other things are predominant in the uneducated.
These are the people who vote for Trump. They are guided by misinformation...

He'd have to be dumb in the first place to even assume that the other white guy would also be racist?

I absolutely agree. This is why I don't count a vote as a reason for cutting ties with friends. It's good to dig deeper into that to see how they actually feel.

If only he knew that he has Mexican friends and he's probably (most likely) gay. I wonder what he would think of us queer folks?

There's also the fallacy that because one prefers one candidate over the other, that they LOVE the candidate they prefer over the other.

You hear it all the time; "I hate both candidates but I'm choosing the lesser of two evils." People just forget about that when they look at other people.

Not everyone who supported trump over hillary thinks trump is just the greatest thing ever.
I sure as fuck don't.

Not everyone who prefers trump over hillary does so because they're an uneducated racist redneck. And if you don't want to see that I can't help you.

Again, I agree. While I see their vote as necessarily harmful to me, I don't see their vote as purposefully harmful to me. While I see them as mistaken and I disagree with them, that doesn't mean they are an asshat.

Now if they start voting for local measures they have more direct control over that would be harmful to me, I don't think I could ignore that. That's different than voting for a person. There are different levels of voting that you can make different assumptions about.

Other than in an open forum such as AF I don’t put any energy into religious conversations. Like Min said, if a person is so overbearingly religious that I’d dump then then I probably wouldn’t be their friend to begin with. I’d see them coming from the jump.

If a person has nothing else they want to talk about or they turn every conversation into a proselytization that friendship just won’t develop.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.

Well you can just be tolerant of it or feel it isn't so important as to 'trump' what you see as his positives.  But my sister at least is just as racist and ignorant as he is.  I don't see her all that often anyhow but now I feel reluctant to hang out with her.
