No One Actually Wants an Equal Society

RE: No One Actually Wants an Equal Society
1)  Your costs will rise and your customers will leave.

2) What do you intend to do with the people who lack the capability to complete your 'holistic' cleaning qualifications?

A company requires a CEO however without a salesman, the CEO has nothing but a corporate shell; the salesman is nothing without those creating the product; groups of people, working together, require managers to help them organise effort but without the work, management is meaningless; an office may provide a suitable place for work to be carries out but without sanitation, the workforce will quickly fall ill and inoperative. There are countless examples of this however we continue to consider the CEO as more important than a cleaner. The phrase I use to counter that perspective is that 'all work of value is of equal value' consequently, given the value provided by a process or set of processes, all participants should be equally rewarded.
Office Cleaner is a low-skilled/unskilled role, A salesman requires a particular personality type and a CEO requires a specialised skill set and thus determines a differentiation in the rate of remuneration.
ergo; minimum wage, commission based and salary respectively.

Considering that most companies will retain their CEO and pay his bonuses no matter how bad his performance whereas the cleaner will be sacked (well, not be given any more assingments as they're probably going to be legally a sole trader subcontractor of a company hired by the CEO to provide the service) for even the smallest deviation from the expected job, I would rate the cleaner's job to be more skillful.

CEOs serve at the pleasure of the Board.

Cleaners serve their direct manager, who indirectly reports to the CEO.

Cleaners lose out when the CEO uses his job-given powers to dictate "Reduce headcount by 10%". Or when the CFO convinces the CEO to go along with that idea. Etc, etc,.

Your speculations on "skilled" are worthless.

Why not try investigating corporate structures and how they become ineffective? I only have worked in several startups, one megacorp and routinely deal with C-level executives.

The real reason an idiot CEO doesn't get shitcanned is simple - the Board likes him or has a non-performance-based reason to keep him (like being the Chairman of the Boards son...)

If the Board personally had hire/fire abilities for the cleaner, they might see him as more "skilled" regardless of the cleaner not having changed a damn thing. But that only scales to a few positions before it devolves right back down to business as usual (i.e. The board rarely reviews or questions the CEO's direct or indirect personnel management decisions).

The cleaner's pay is something of a moot point now. The robots will render them redundant. Progress is inevitable.

The whole idea of an equal society should never happen because it hinders self determination and personal growth. It will never happen because people don't like to be controlled, and really it will lower the standards for people to reach. It will not create anything better through competition and would result in a very boring society.

People who go on and on about injustice always blame it on the wrong things. Anyone has the opportunity to make a better life for themselves if they get out of the dependency mindset and proactively seek to achieve mastery in what they desire.

Do you think competition is the only engine for growth? Do you think it's the only inspiration for folks?

What an impoverished view of people you have, Scoobs.

I don't know why Holocaust victims, civilians in Aleppo, and African slaves just didn't get up off of their collective arse and forge a better life for themselves.

Yup I'm totally sure if scoobs wasn't one of the privileged minority of this world he would so have succeeded in life . Because he's just so special . Or would he be dead or begging for help from those entitled weaklings he so maligns . I'm 99 percent in favor  of the latter.

I don't even think equality of opportunity is what we should be aiming for. Clearly if you are born into a family with a family business, you already have an advantage in that business.

Rather than aiming for equality which realistically will never happen, we should be striving to reduce the systemic inequalities that exist. Bring back the American dream.
