Can someone tell me where in the 2nd amendment it says you can carry machine guns?

The point is love of an object and ignorance of how many people die using it. The point is in this thread and every firearm related story is that people far too often go in to a buy not understanding that they are far more likely to get hurt themselves. It is ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT that every use of a firearm in a conflict is a John Wayne/Dirty Harry Hollywood movie where it is always stranger vs stranger. NO, the vast majority of firearm injuries are WITH THE user and someone the user is familiar with.

I could give a shit less if it were a handgun, my bet is that it was legally purchased by him or her.

Yet despite your claims that you don't want to ban guns you do want to ban machine guns. I keep pointing out that machine guns aren't the problem. That pretty much all the changes to gun laws you say you want already apply to machine guns. As a result legally owned machine guns are almost never used to commit crimes. The laws governing ownership of machine guns appear to be effective, but instead of looking at them as a model of how we could treat the handguns that are the real problem you just keep screaming SPRAY WEAPONS ban them.

In a perfect world I wouldn't give a shit, but we don't live in a perfect world, and when I see stories like the ones posted, and even worse stories where kids in an elementary school get slaughtered and you stupidly make it about you, yea I do get pissed.

My jr year high school yearbook from 1984 has a picture of the McDonalds massacre. I find it fucked up that we live in a nation where a high school yearbook has a picture of such a horrible event. I find it even more fucked up that we never do anything to prevent such events.

I'm not trying to paint you as the bad guy, Brain. I do feel like I'm trying to have a conversation with a petulant child though.

What it is you think that Gawdzilla gets that I don't? I ask because I don't know what changes he would like to see to gun laws. If he has ever come right out and stated it I missed it. Based on what I have seen him say he doesn't like people carrying guns in public, owns a Browning M2 50 caliber machine gun and has has a bunch of crazy cousins that probably shouldn't have guns. He and I seem to generally agree on these things other than I don't own a M2.
