I've been around Christians and I've even been a Christian myself for most of my life. Why do people think atheists haven't heard this crap before?

I don't know. That was about the most basic stuff imaginable. The bible says there's an afterlife, and we need Jesus to get into heaven, and avoid hell. The most basic premise of the book, that everyone who knows anything about christianity already knows. But maybe he really thinks we're completely ignorant on the subject.

I'm really starting to wonder how many atheists Jacqueline really thought she'd convert like this. Who teaches these kids that this actually works? This is why critical thinking is important.

But it's to set off some subconscious thoughts.

I'm surprised that your pastor didn't suggest a street corner. Maybe by a homeless shelter or soup kitchen. How big is your town/city? You could try outside a free clinic or better still, an abortion clinic. We're just non believers. Those are the true sinners that could really use true christian guidance.

Work on your game. It might take a bit more effort. If you really try hard I'm sure that you can get the lords word into public grade schools!

Having spent the skull sweat necessary for the logic involved in reasoning through the BS that is religion, I don't believe anyone who says they are an ex-atheist. One just looks at religion, and says, "Dafuq?", after that. At least, I do. It isn't just rejecting the bigotry, misogyny, hatred and violence. I ran into the same thing when I taught at a Waldorf school (hey, I needed money, the kids (parents) got their money's worth. I just didn't believe their philosophy). The logical contradictions were rife there, as well. When someone contradicts themselves multiple times within the first 38 pages of their book (Rudolf Steiner's book, "The Study of Man"), I know a belief system when I see it. All you xtians go and read it. Take notes. Then come back and tell us how it compares and contrasts with xtianity.
