I've done it, too, and as far as I know there have been no complaints against me.
Upon further reflection, a theist, cannot remember his username, did complain, even though I still maintain there was no reason for his complaint or the warning I received.
I have even had people quote me after I edited, catching the post before the edit, yet I have never complained.

Maybe there could be a notification feature somehow built in when a post that you've quoted and replied to, has been edited by the OP? Otherwise, how you you know it's been edited?

I think rather than that, before you hit "save changes" you receive a notification that someone has already quoted you or that there is already a new post on the thread.

And, why the fuck am I the "author" of this goddamned thread, instead of oh, say...someone else?
No one asked my permission for that to be done.
Punitive action, I take it? Or just a general "Ha-ha, fuck you"?
This is a perfect example of the kind of biased, behind-the-scenes BULLSHIT that's so prevalent here. Then you all have the GALL to wonder why folks accuse the Staff of exhibiting favoritism.

Well, we do receive that when someone's quoted us but if I change my post that's been quoted, that person would never know unless they went back and reread it.

Nope, unless one repeatedly do that in purpose. The case here was solved with editing out the outdated quote and a general reminder of that rule. Meh.
Yet someone wasn't satisfied without throwing accusations at the staff.
Alot of these remain unnoticed I guess. Expect a general reminder of the rules if I get ya.

Shell edited the post 4 minutes after. Thena quoted 16 minutes (IIRC) later the post.

If you quote it before it's edited then it's not even a violation of the rules. It's adding stuff in after the fact that's a violation.
