What we see as an origin point may simply be the limits of a cyclic process, or may arise out of the multiverse. Time breaks down and has no meaning at the extremes of the Big Bang or the heat death of the universe, so has no real endpoints. The math indicates that time as we know it doesn't exist as you approach the BB and it is meaningless at the other end of things where everything is evenly distributed and inactive, so there is no way to measure or utilize time.
Just another example where actual reality is more amazing than bronze age fairy tales.
As for how that would "prove" there's no god, it wouldn't. God isn't necessary to explain reality, after all. In any case, your god is an unfalsifiable proposition, so I can't make any supportable knowledge claim for or against it. I can only say there's no substantiation for it and therefore no valid reason to afford belief to it.
When you say "eternal" I assume you mean it always existed and always will; no beginning and no end. When I contemplate that it makes me feel the same as when I contemplate God's infinity and our eternal life with him.

Although if the universe is eternal it does not in any way imply that we are. You and I are particular configurations of matter and energy. The subatomic particles that make us up will survive; our consciousness will not.
But that's okay, because every heaven eventually becomes its own hell. I'm cool with being mortal.

Actually you don't know if our consciousness survives or not. How would science know?

How the fuck would YOU know? At least science can demonstrate whatever it claims. As soon as whatever mechanism you want to claim works, or is superior to science in producing results, you can start making assertions, until then, they can be dismissed as vacuous and moronic and would be better unsaid to save yourself some embarrassment. BTW, if the universe (which we can actually observe) is the eternal thing, you're adding an unnecessary contingency by positing a god, and Occam's Razor handily circumcises that bitch right the fuck out of the equation. Fuck, I can't believe I got goaded into responding to you.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
---
There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.

However I DO know that it's vanishingly unlikely. That 100% of the evidence available points to consciousness not surviving, and 0% points toward it suviving. Also, common sense tell me I'd better be careful what I ask for because all heavens eventually become their own hell.
Your own religion teaches that you are mindless robots in heaven, devoid of free will, never sinning and always worshiping. Do you want to be a without volition for eternity?
Paradoxically your own religion also teaches that human suffering is necessary because to prevent it god would have to take away our free will (which includes the ability to not obey) and we'd just be robots. You guys don't even want to be robots in this life, why would you want to be robots in the next?

An actual past infinite number of cause/effect events is not logically possible. We would never have gotten to the present event. There must be a first cause.

Matter, energy-consciousness, space, air, water........

And the evidence that the consciousness die is............?

What about the other way around when hell turn into heaven?

Gee, you got to have big, big expectation Int.
You come down with statements that carry no evidence of whatsoever and then say that you claim the obvious.
Not only that but you also want people to agree with you.
Whhhhhooooooo.
Are you a magician?

I also asked Taylor Swift to meet me at the local coffee shop but she didn't show up.
How sad.
How sad, you consider Taylor Swift a god.
How sad you didn't get my analogy.
Whether you deal with a physical person like Taylor or with a spiritual entity like God you just can not expect that they pop up in front of you with a snap of your fingers.
It need a lot more than that.
It is only when you are able to establish a relationship with the other party that they may show to you that is why the atheists expectation that God should show up if He really exist is totally foolishness.

Yesterday on Twitter a theist posted this question, "Surely there are things you are unaware of that are true?"
I responded, "So Angelina Jolie is really secretly in love with me? AWESOME! Now all I have to do get her to tell me that face to face."
I've always like what Hitch said about naked assertions, " That which can be asserted without evidence can be just as easily be dismissed without evidence."

It probably does not survive. After all, if a soul exists, why do people get Alzheimer's disease? Are you saying that a brain that is dead has better memory recall than a brain that is diseased? Where, ultimately, are our memories stored? If not our brains, then where? Or, are you saying that you are going to be some "memory-less soul" when you are dead?

If they/it/god is all powerful, all knowing, all everything.............. as you say and wants, no wait, needs me to believe, then yes I can. It should be no big deal for a god if your (and others) claims have any validity.
Your statement is the same as every other believers. You seem to need me (and everyone else) to believe in your fantasy to help validate your existence more than your so called god needs it for validation. What is the weakness or insecurity within you that makes it necessary for you to constantly defend and promote this requirement?
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
