Also, have you guys noticed how Boehner is disagreeing with this course of action not on the damage it will do but the fact that the political calculus might not work out.

I've been saying this all along since these debt talks began. The Republicans want a crisis so they can politicize it and blame Obama in 2012. What they fail to realize is that even a majority of the GOP thinks they've been acting stupid, and that the American people blame them equally for this mess.

I've called my two dumbass senators, McConnell and Paul, as well as my representative in Congress. Hopefully, if enough Americans do the same, they just might listen. Hey, I can hope.

Doctors say a boener that lasts more than four hours could be a problem. I guess we can confirm that. Congress has been stuck with this Boener almost a year now and look at the damage he's done.

This is worrying. At this point, I cannot predict how this will turn out. However, they may get the chaos they are looking for and none of them will suffer for it. Note that I consider suffering more than just losing votes.
