Homeless..you kinda seem like you're going out of your way to hate some stuff.
I also did love the low-key exposition bomb that Gilly dropped on Sam. Hugely important to us the viewers because we know all the connecting lines of information, but Sam doesn't give a shit about some "Prince Ragger" marrying who-cares in the middle of nowhere. For all he (and everyone that isn't Bran) knows, Jon is still Ned's bastard.

Which makes Jon not just the son of the Prince Regent of the realm, but a trueborn son, and true heir to the Iron Throne. [...]

LOL... Who gives a toss? Daenerys (and her brother before her) was - by this logic - "the true heir to the Iron Throne". How much did that help? The Lords of Westeros - not to mention the peasants - didn't give a flying f*ck about legitimate Targaryen lineage, when Robert was king, when War of the Five Kings was going on, when Cersei crowned herself queen, or when they made bastard Jon Snow King in the North. Why does it matter all of a sudden, that some anal-retentive maester made a note of some secret annulment and secret marriage, among the records of his sh*ts? Who's supposed to care? Gods?
Yeah - it's stupid and it makes Jon Snow a worse character - just another secret royal, who deserves sh*t by birthright, like in every other fairy-tale. And the way they had semi-illiterate Gillie conveniently stumble upon this "nugget" of information by pure chance - that's just cringe-worthy, lazy writing...

Then what on Earth was Daenerys doing, riding her dragon at him? Did she want to kill him, or is she just a dumb b*tch, with no control over that thing between her legs? Women dragon-riders, amirite?

Well then, why are you watching the show? It seems like the most important bits of the story are lost on you. Maybe you should watch something else.
You seem dug in on one of the most important bits of exposition in the show's history being stupid. Maybe it's not for you.
For the rest of us, that was an amazing scene.

"Most important bits of the story"? LOL... If the part you're most interested in is "who begat whom" and whether or not they were married, then there's a large chunk of the Old Testament I can recommend for you.

It is stupid, the way it's presented and the message it carries is an infantile, tired cliche, about birthright being a pre-requisite for "greatness". That's the way I see it and so far I've not seen a decent argument to the contrary.

Allow me to judge for myself, what is and isn't for me, thank you very much.

In that case - I'm thrilled for the rest of you...

Eh, sam's frustrated and stuck, and there isn't a single reason he should care about Prince Rhaegar and his love affairs.

Oh, I understand that. It doesn't change that I care and wanted to hear if there was more. Of course, there was never going to be, but how frustrating!

Though I don't 'despise' it in the way Homeless Nutter portrays it...
I have to agree with one of his core values. Why should it matter that Jon is by 'birthright' the king of Westeros. That's a fucked up system and might Westeros survive the long night, I should think we should all hope such systems should be gotten rid off yonder.
The only thing of importance is that he has targaryan blood and, in the books, comes from a family tied to warging. It shouldn't matter if he's a bastard or not.
Being son of a legitimate marriage of two 'noble' people, one of which the crown prince, does not give him the right to rule.
And that's the one difference between Jon and daenarys, by the way. One gets pushed into positions of power because he accepts a duty. The other wants what she feels should be hers and takes it. Even if they both want the best for the world. Even if they both inspire and are at heart not wicked people... No matter how similar they may be, that is their one difference. And I can see it playing out in the final act of the story somehow.

So where the fuck is Ghost? Jon didn't want to take him to Dragonstone? Fine. But going beyond the Wall without him?
Come to think of it, that entire plan is stupid. 6(?) of them going head first into the army of the dead with the Night King to try and kidnap one of the dead, THAT THE NIGHT KING CONTROLS? We know the Night King can turn wights "on" and "off" so to speak, since he took over the body of those two Night's Watch men a few seasons ago but only rose them up when they got to Castle Black (their eyes were blue the entire time.) What if he just has the wight play dead? Are a pair of blue eyes enough to convince Cersei? But enough about that, let's go back to the stupidity of 6 of them trying to steal themselves a wight lmao.
