But lets be serious, because the same crap is said about Star Trek, Star Wars and Back To The Future.

Roddenberry got his ideas, like the transporter and tricoder from older si fi movies, they were simply called different things. Fans of that show claim the flat screen TV but so did Back To The Future fans, but funny thing, although round, the Wizard of Oz had a round flat screen TV too.

Yes while the Simplsons did have an episode speculating "what if" 45 was president, it worked backards. 45 back then looked at it and said, "Oh yea, you think it would be absurd if I were president, I'll show you eventually. Then when Obama made fun of him, that pushed him to do it."

Entertainment can certainly motivate people to do things, but it is not predictive because there is lots of crap media speculates on that doesn't go anywhere.

If Hillary had won, her supporters would also point to that episode and claim the same.

The fallacy of prophecy is the same, be it religion, or entertainment. It is still the same selection bias and sample rate error and works backwards the same way. If you want to see it, you will.
