A question about original sin.

Im operating under the assumption that you know something to be more true or more important than others things. Do you work under the understanding of some unquestioned truth or do you recognize a belief as true?

You see constant ridicule, because the religious are constantly making ridiculous claims.

More true or more important? Either you point to the evidence that supports your claim to knowledge, or accept that you have no such knowledge. If you think you have evidence, fine, lets see it.
If your evidence turns out to be bullshit, I don't want you crying to me about the brute force of fact.
That's whats true to me, that's what's important.

In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I think you might have more success, and a less bumpy ride, at places like these:

http://www.christiandoctrinediscussion.com/

http://debatingchristianity.com/forum/index.php

Atheists are in general so sick of religion-for historically eminent reasons, that they waste little time in excoriating the believers who come in wanting a "philosophical" give and take when in truth, what is desired is a capitulation to a theological nonsequitur.

Thanks for the links.

Demonstrable ones CRod. We take ideas, run them through the grinder, attempt to prove them wrong every way possible, and what we're left with after the dust settles and people's pride is severely injured is what we call knowledge.

Is science all there is because science is all there is? I went to school and was taught about stuff everybody already knew, but there so much unknown. I still think rather old claims contrary and detailed need to be considered. What do accept as the origin of life on this planet? How?

Is blue blue because it's blue CRod?

Arguing a position based on what we do not know, is an appeal to ignorance. That's fine, you show me a god that doesn't contradict what we do know.

Old claims are constantly springing back up, alot of times they get knocked down again, sometimes they stick when more data becomes available.

Abiogenesis is an active area of research (as are all areas of research). I won't be able to give you an answer on that one that isn't a theory. There's just nothing to accept at the moment. There are theories, that fit with the model of life that we currently have, but they await confirmation.

That's the answer i always get, from somebody like you. I was hoping something more wonderful or different, something inspiring and vulnerable, something to be considered. Since your a man of observation, may i ask you what is perfect; what thing can you prove to me is perfect?
