The one that finally recognizes that it's all bullshit.
Ah there came a time where I thought so too. But with reflecting, there is a great majestic recitation in there that is beyond human capabilities, and in fact, beyond capabilities except for one who knows exactly how to open infinite knowledge with very limited space in words, is it is no doubt from God, Lord of the worlds.

The context for one is about God completing the religion and being satisfied with Islam as our religion, go back to the mood set by 5:3 which is a huge thing, if God completed the religion, then its important to know what actually happened on that day. So everything in this Surah (and I argue the whole Quran) is about Islam.
How can a verse in Quran have nothing to do with Islam?
Ok so let's say it has nothing to do with Islam or guiding humanity, what according to you is the purpose of God stating this and what role does it have with respect to the flow of the verses before and after?
Quote:Sura 5, The Quran:
( 3 ) Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
The bald part is the completion of Islam.
The rest is explicitly speaking about the first balded part....
What the hell does your comment has to do with "avoiding dead animals" ?

Why did God say these words? Just explain. Just to tell us a historical fact?

one verse before 11 has the answer: ??
Quote:Sura 5, The Quran:
( 11 ) O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when a people determined to extend their hands [in aggression] against you, but He withheld their hands from you; and fear Allah. And upon Allah let the believers rely.
So you remember the favor of God when he protected your ancestors.
So? what about the questions I asked first?

Answer any of these.
And no gymnastics or textual walls ! no implicit answers!
Just give me one verse, across the 600 pages of the Quran that mentions any of the 5 questions' answers.

I'll give you many options; all prove your religion if you answer them:
1- A verse mentioning "Ali" by the name.
2-A verse mentioning "Hasaen" by the name.
3-A verse mentioning "Hussain" by the name.
4-A verse mentioning the 12 divine imams that we must follow
5-A verse mentioning the last imam that you and your cult believe will rule the universe or whatever -Imam Mahdy-

Well to me verse 5:12 explains 4:59 as it does the prayer of Moses, as it does Suratal Inshirah, as does the wage verses, and they all explain one another etc... and why God emphasized on chosen families through and properly translates the Quran to emphasize on "therefore ask the family of the reminder if you do not know".
This is what I'm saying, we can disagree with interpretation if we just isolate verses and we will never be able to settle disputes through referring to God and the Messenger as Quran commands.
But every verse has a key role in Quran and respect to the Shariah and code, and the rituals therein. Everything is explained in Quran, but if we go to it just it not letting it explain itself and not taking admonishment by way of the past nor reflecting on what God is emphasizing on was his way of guidance, then it will not avail us but a be a claim against us.

?
What does a verse telling the followers of Mohammed, to obey and listen to their elected leaders has to do, with 12 Ancient and dead Israeli captains?
Still:

This is what this entire waffle about bits of special books talking about other bits of special books sounds like to me:
"In the Nuts (Unground)(Other than Groundnuts) Order the expression nuts shall have reference to such nuts other than groundnuts, as would, but for this Amending Order, not qualify as nuts (Unground)(Other than Groundnuts) by reason of their being nuts (Unground)."
Except that that makes sense.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

No No; we can disagree on accepting Hadith books that cults use to create their sects.
You want a Quran with a Hadith; I don't want the Hadith.
When I dispute with somebody who wants the Quran only; wants the word of God only, I let the Quran be the judge. But when I deal with a missionary like you who wants Hadith and wants to bellydance around the Quran; I don't agree.
Just like I don't agree to atheistic thoughts.
And just like I don't agree to Christian thoughts.
Don't lecture me about the importance of chronological order to understand books like the Quran.
But answer this; please:
