If you can stand without crutches, you can use only one - on the side opposite your bad knee.
Maybe a cane would work just as well? Or a walking stick?

I got 3 hours of shitty sleep. Good thing I don't have to really do anything today other than rest in my recliner and try and take it easy. I'm not happy that they didn't find anything wrong. Good news is that at least they were able to rule out some things. No infection, no gout, no blood clots. Bad news is that I'm going to have lots of bruises on both legs due to the amount of compression the ultrasound technician had to use to make sure my veins compressed when pushed on.

Next up: MRI for possible torn things in there or whatever else that kind of test can find.

This is exactly what my physical therapist advised after my knee surgery - it's a lot easier to get around that way.

Seems counter-intuitive, but makes sense because you don't need to compensate for the weak leg, rather find a way to support your center of mass.

Well I herniated my C5-C6 that ended up needing surgery.

All because I picked up an empty laundry basket.

Getting old is over rated.

You sound like my best friend who has herniated several discs and had at least two, maybe three, spinal surgeries.  Except she's 32.

The last time she blew a disc she had bent down to pick up a piece of paper.

I'm clueless here.

[Little lunch]

My daughter and I just sat out the front under the awning while a massive thunder storm rolled through.
We saw heaps of lightning with thunder that made windows the rattle.
Just when it seemed like it was all over we got hit with a huge hail storm that almost turned the ground white.
Ten minutes later it was gone with a lovely blue sky and the start of a lovely sunset.
Good times. :-)

Holy shit, we just got hit with another hail storm, twice the size.
The hail was about half the size of golf balls.
The ground looks like snow mixed in with the leaves and branches it cut down.
Blue skies again like nothing happened.

Appointment has been made. I see the ortho specialist Friday afternoon.
