They're pretty decent at this one. I just say "please" and "thank you" to all the nurses and they seem to help me faster.

The doc asked me about blood clots and also about gout. I'm clueless here.
She noticed there seemed to be an unusual amount of fluid around my kneecap and that it felt hot and was red and swollen.

The morphine is working. They are going to remove the fluid from my knee and run tests on it. Gave me an Ativan to calm my anxiety. I'm feeling sorta loopy right now.

I have been stuck with a needle only to find out that there is no fluid in my knee. Did a vascular ultrasound on both legs. I'm tired. They are wrapping my knee with an ace bandage and sending me home with crutches. I'll have to make an appt with a knee specialist.

Did they rule out torn ligaments?

I'm sending you lots of patience and wishes of a speedy recovery of that knee!

Bottom line: they found nothing. I'm being referred to an orthopedic specialist for a follow up and an MRI.

Oh and crutches suck.
And its nearly 4am. We are just now heading home.
